The Granny Rock
‘The Granny Rock’
In the savannahs of Aishalton, Deep South stands this rock formation. The profile gives the appearance of a woman and is known as the Granny Rock
Legend has it that this is the sister of Shiriri, another peak in the South Rupununi. It is said that when they were moving from the area, she did not want to leave the area which resulted in her turning into a rock.
She stands there facing the direction of Shiriri Mountain.
