National Stadium to host electrifying Guyana Festival concert during weekend
Celebrated Guyanese artistes will combine their vocals, skills, and vigor and take centre stage on Saturday at the National Stadium, Providence, to deliver what is anticipated an electrifying One Guyana mega concert.
Showcasing local and overseas-based performers, the event will form part of the exciting Cricket Carnival events being staged to coincide with the Hero Caribbean Premier League matches in Guyana.
Guyana will host the backend of the tournament, including the knockout games and final, from September 21-30 at the Stadium.
A variety of musical styles are scheduled to perform at Saturday’s mega concert, which will fuse Guyanese and international cultures.
Confirmed to perform are Timeka Marshall, Alabama, Nekeita, Saiku, Drew Kush Gully, Azariel, Adrian Dutchin, Calvin Burnett, Mark Batson, Natural Black, Samuel Medas, Big Red, Brandon Harding and Vanilla.
On the chutney side, Terry Gajraj, Vanita, Vicadi Singh, Tony Cuttz and Bunty Singh will bring the vibe.
All Guyana had previously reported how the country is gearing up for Cricket and Carnival – two of Guyana’s most celebrated events – who will collide to produce an electrifying and pulsating event for the country’s nationals and tourists alike.
The inaugural Cricket Carnival will be hosted from September 16 to October 2, 2022 at 229 South road, Georgetown under the “One Guyana” theme, and will see visitors having a plethora of options for entertainment and recreational activities to choose from. The offering includes music festivals, cultural shows, soca competitions, road march competitions, and organized tours.
The Cricket Carnival activities will also feature a Jazz, Art and Fashion Show, Carnival Pageant, Horse Racing, Amerindian Night, City Nights, a Regional Food Festival, Boat Cruise, Linden Regatta, Super Concerts, a Road Parade and much more.
As Guyana puts on a fantastic performance involving sport, culture, and entertainment, all eyes will be on the nation.
